ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to see if using a cold spray can help reduce pain during blood glucose tests, which are often needed for people with diabetes or other health conditions. The researchers want to find out if the cold spray makes a difference in pain relief compared to a regular spray that doesn't have any active ingredients, known as a placebo. Participants in the study will be adults aged 18 and older who need to have at least two of these blood tests.
To take part, individuals must not have any allergies to the spray's ingredients or certain health conditions that can affect pain or blood sugar measurements. If eligible, participants will receive both the cold spray and the placebo spray in a specific order during their tests. Their pain levels will be recorded using a simple scale where they can indicate how much pain they feel. This study is not currently recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable information about ways to make routine blood tests more comfortable for patients.
