ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring two different treatments for a condition called post-dural puncture headache, which can occur after a spinal tap (a procedure where a needle is inserted into the lower back to collect fluid). The study is comparing the use of a plasma-rich fibrin epidural injection, delivered through a special device called a Racz catheter, with a treatment known as an epidural blood patch. Both methods aim to relieve the headache symptoms and help patients recover more comfortably.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 18 and 65 years old and experiencing post-dural puncture headache. However, those who are pregnant, have certain health conditions, or are taking blood-thinning medications are not eligible. Participants will receive one of the two treatments and will be monitored for their response. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance for those suffering from this painful headache to possibly find relief through these innovative treatment options.
