ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a treatment for people who suffer from severe headaches that can occur after a medical procedure called a spinal tap. The treatment involves using a special injection made from plasma-rich fibrin, which is derived from your own blood, delivered through a thin tube called a Racz catheter. The researchers want to see if this method can help relieve headache pain and improve the condition of the optic nerve, which is important for vision.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and experiencing severe headaches after a spinal tap. Unfortunately, if you have certain health issues, are pregnant, or are on blood-thinning medications, you won't be eligible to join. If you do participate, you can expect to receive the injection while being closely monitored, and the study will help provide important information about this potential treatment option for post-dural puncture headaches.
