This clinical trial is studying how different methods of mechanical ventilation (a way to help patients breathe during surgery) can affect the success of a procedure called radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for treating atrial fibrillation (AF), a type of irregular heartbeat. The researchers want to find out if using controlled breathing techniques during RFA can improve the contact between the catheter (a small, thin tube used in the procedure) and the heart tissue, which is important for making the treatment effective.

To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult (18 years or older) who has been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and is scheduled to have radiofrequency ablation under general anesthesia. However, if you will be having the procedure done with just sedation or local anesthesia, you would not be eligible to join. Participants can expect to receive careful monitoring during the procedure and may benefit from improved treatment outcomes thanks to the different breathing methods being tested. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and everyone is welcome regardless of gender.
