ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the ePro-schools project, is exploring how an online health platform can help teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds develop healthier habits, such as being more active and eating better. The main focus is to see if using this digital tool can improve how much these adolescents exercise and what they eat compared to a basic webpage with general health tips. The trial involves creating the eHealth platform together with the teenagers, who will share their ideas on what information would help them the most.
To join the study, adolescents aged 12 to 15 who are in certain secondary schools in Central Catalonia can participate, provided they have permission from their parents or guardians. Physical education teachers from these schools can also take part. Participants will either use the new ePro-schools webpage or a simpler website with basic health information. Throughout the trial, they will complete surveys about their eating and exercise habits to help researchers understand how effective the platform is in promoting healthier lifestyles. It’s a great opportunity for young people to help shape a tool that could benefit their own health and the health of their peers!
