ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Community Burden of MG Infection," is studying a type of sexually transmitted infection (STI) called Mycoplasma genitalium (MG) among men who have sex with men in Hong Kong. The goal is to understand how common this infection is and how it spreads in the community. The study involves two main parts: first, participants will complete an online survey and provide samples for lab testing; second, researchers will use computer models to simulate how MG infection spreads and how different testing and treatment strategies might work.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be men aged 18 or older who have sex with men and live in Hong Kong. They should also be able to read and write in English or Chinese. During the study, participants can expect to fill out an online questionnaire, provide samples for testing, and take an HIV self-test. It's important to know that this trial is currently looking for volunteers to take part, and anyone who cannot give their consent will not be included.
