ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a special imaging system called indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence imaging to help surgeons see how healthy a bone is and how well blood is flowing to it. This information can be very helpful for doctors when treating serious injuries or infections, as it can guide them in choosing the best treatment options for patients with open fractures or infections related to their fractures.
To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and have an open fracture or a fracture-related infection that requires specific surgical management. You also need to be able to give your consent to participate. Unfortunately, if you have a fracture in your hand, an allergy to iodine, or burns near the fracture site, you won’t be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your surgeries performed by experienced surgeons who are part of this study, and you'll be contributing to important research that could improve care for future patients.
