ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how changes in thyroid function after a kidney transplant might affect the success of the transplant. Researchers want to find out if having hyperthyroidism, a condition where the thyroid gland is overactive, could predict worse outcomes for patients who receive a kidney transplant. They also aim to identify any factors that might increase the risk of thyroid problems during the early recovery period after surgery.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be at least 18 years old and have undergone a kidney transplant at the research center. They should also have available follow-up data from three months after the transplant and consent to be part of the study. Participants will be monitored for changes in their thyroid function within the first month after their surgery, and this will help researchers understand the relationship between thyroid health and kidney transplant success. This research could lead to better care for kidney transplant patients in the future.
