Preoperative Anxiety Cardiac Surgery Evaluation Of Anxiety Admission Day Apais Scale

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how the day a patient is admitted for cardiac surgery affects their anxiety levels before the operation. Specifically, it compares anxiety levels between patients admitted one day before their surgery (J-1) and those admitted on the same day as their surgery (J-0). By understanding these differences, researchers hope to find ways to help reduce anxiety in patients undergoing heart surgery.

To be part of this study, participants need to be adults over 18 who are scheduled for cardiac surgery and have received information about the trial. They should also be admitted to the cardiac and thoracic surgery units and agree to take part in the research. However, people who are having emergency surgeries, those with certain mental health conditions, or anyone currently involved in other research studies are not eligible. Participants can expect to share their experiences, which can help improve care for future patients facing similar situations.
