ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how two different methods—auricular vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) and controlled breathing exercises (CBE)—can improve physical performance and affect the autonomic nervous system, which helps control many body functions, like heart rate and digestion. The goal is to see if using both methods together is more effective than using just one. This study is especially focused on men who are moderately active and want to enhance their physical performance.
To participate, men aged between 65 and 74 who engage in a moderate level of physical activity are eligible, as long as they do not have any major health issues or take regular medication for chronic conditions. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it begins, selected volunteers can expect to engage in both VNS and CBE to see how these methods can improve their overall health and physical ability. This could offer valuable insights into new ways to boost health and performance in older adults.
