ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the Arabic version of the De Morton Mobility Index (DEMMI) to see if it is a valid and reliable tool for assessing mobility in patients who have undergone abdominal surgeries. After major abdominal surgery, many patients experience difficulties with movement, which can affect their recovery and overall quality of life. The DEMMI helps doctors measure how well patients can move around, which is important for preventing complications and promoting healing.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be between 40 and 60 years old, have had abdominal surgery, and be able to read and write in Arabic. They should also be able to understand the questions in the mobility assessment and follow instructions. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and those who join can expect to take part in assessments that will help determine if the Arabic DEMMI can effectively measure mobility in their specific situation. This research could lead to better care and support for patients recovering from surgery.
