ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to improve the experience of families caring for loved ones with serious conditions like brain injuries or brain tumors. Many relatives feel overwhelmed and unsure of how to help, which can affect their well-being and the care of the patient. The study aims to create a supportive program that trains nurses to better understand and address the specific needs of these caregivers. This program includes a special tool for nurses to have open conversations with relatives about how they wish to be involved in the patient's care, as well as resources like videos and shared experiences from other caregivers.
If you are a relative of an adult patient who has been admitted to hospice with an acquired brain injury or a primary malignant brain tumor, you might be eligible to participate in this study. By joining, you'll receive support designed to help you feel more included and informed during your loved one's treatment. Overall, the goal is to ensure that both patients and their families feel more supported and satisfied throughout the illness journey.
