ClinConnect Summary
The "Literacy Instruction Through Media for Everyone" trial is studying how using educational media together with caregivers can help young children improve their reading and writing skills. The main goal is to see if this method is better than simply reading books together or not having any special activities at all. Since early literacy is important for a child's future learning, this study hopes that engaging with media in a fun way will help low-income children gain the skills they need to succeed in school.
To participate, children must be between 3 and 4 years old and should be learning to speak in English. Their caregivers need to be comfortable communicating in English as well. Participants will join in activities that involve educational media, and the researchers will track how these activities help improve the children's literacy skills over time. This study is not yet recruiting, so families interested in participating will need to wait for more information on how to sign up.
