ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether adding morphine to spinal anaesthesia can help manage pain after a caesarean section, without causing harm to mothers or their babies. The researchers want to find out if this treatment can effectively reduce pain after surgery and if it is safe for both the mother and child. Participants will receive standard spinal anaesthesia along with either morphine or a harmless solution (sodium chloride) and will also get regular pain relief options, like morphine tablets if needed. They will track the effectiveness and safety of the treatment by reviewing medical records and asking participants about their pain levels and any side effects through questionnaires.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old, have a single baby, and be scheduled for a planned caesarean section with spinal anaesthesia. You’ll also need to give your written consent to join. However, if you have allergies to the trial medications, are expecting complex pain management needs, or cannot read and understand Danish, you may not be eligible. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable information about pain management after caesarean sections.
