ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether using a special imaging test called arteriography before surgery can help identify a critical blood vessel, known as the Adamkiewicz artery, in patients with certain types of tumors in the chest area. These tumors, called neuroblastic tumors, can sometimes press on the spinal cord and cause serious complications during surgery. By figuring out the best way to locate this artery before surgery, the researchers hope to reduce the risk of nerve damage and other problems after the operation.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be undergoing surgery for a neuroblastic tumor located in the thoracic area of the spine. This includes both children and adults who are being treated in pediatric surgery departments in France. They should also be willing to allow their medical information to be used for the study. Participants can expect to be part of a valuable research effort that may improve the safety of surgeries for these kinds of tumors in the future. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather important insights over the next few years.
