ClinConnect Summary
The AI and VR Devices for Eating Behavior Rehabilitation trial is exploring new ways to help people with eating disorders like Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. This study uses virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) to create personalized treatment tools that can offer new approaches beyond traditional therapy. For example, these tools can help individuals change their perceptions of their bodies or manage their emotions around food. The goal is to make treatment more effective and quicker, ultimately improving how patients are diagnosed and treated.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to have a clinical diagnosis of Anorexia or Bulimia confirmed by a hospital, a Body Mass Index (BMI) between 16 and 32, and have been experiencing their disorder for at least six months. Importantly, participants won't be undergoing any other therapy during the study. If you or someone you know fits these criteria, this trial could provide a new and innovative way to tackle eating disorders, with the potential for better support and care.
