ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a single meeting with a physiotherapist can help patients recover better after surgery for a condition called lumbar spondylolisthesis, which involves a problem in the lower spine. The trial will look at whether this extra support before leaving the hospital can reduce disability and pain levels one to three months after surgery. Participants will be assessed on their physical abilities, psychological well-being, and quality of life, and they will also share their satisfaction with their hospital experience.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be adults over 18 who have recently had surgery for lumbar spondylolisthesis. Those who have had other spine surgeries, have specific neurological or systemic health issues, or do not speak Italian fluently will not be included. If chosen, participants will receive advice on exercises to do at home and will have the chance to communicate with the physiotherapist until their next doctor’s appointment, which is scheduled for one month after their surgery. This trial aims to see if this added support can make a difference in recovery.
