ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different treatments to help reduce nasal bleeding during a medical procedure called nasotracheal intubation, which is often needed for certain surgeries in the mouth and jaw area. The trial is comparing xylometazoline nasal drops, which help shrink blood vessels in the nose, to adrenaline nasal packing, which involves placing a special packing in the nose to control bleeding. The main goal is to find out which treatment works better at minimizing nasal bleeding during the procedure.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be between 18 and 60 years old and have a specific classification of their airway (Mallampati score 1 or 2), indicating that their airway is relatively easy to manage. Participants should also be in good health, without serious conditions like uncontrolled high blood pressure or a history of nasal problems. Those who join the study will be randomly assigned to receive either the nasal drops or the packing, and their experiences will help researchers understand which method is more effective for reducing nasal bleeding during surgery.
