ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how people in the general community feel about individuals who have certain skin conditions, specifically psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, vitiligo, and alopecia areata when these conditions affect the face. The goal is to understand the emotional reactions and social attitudes towards these individuals, including how much people tend to avoid them or hold stereotypes. Researchers will also examine what factors—like age or background—might influence these attitudes.
To take part in this study, participants must be over 18 years old and can be of any gender. However, individuals who currently have any of the skin conditions being studied or have close family members with these conditions are not eligible. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but when it starts, those who join can expect to share their thoughts and feelings about the impact of these skin conditions on social interactions. This research will help gain insights into stigma and improve understanding and support for those affected by these conditions.
