ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the muscles in the pelvic floor behave in women who experience primary dysmenorrhea, which is a medical term for painful menstrual cramps that aren't caused by any other health issues. The aim is to understand the activity of these muscles during menstruation, which could help in finding better ways to manage pain for those affected.
To participate in the study, eligible candidates must be healthy female physiotherapy students aged between 18 and 25 years who have regular menstrual cycles. They should also have a specific body weight range and measurements. However, women with certain health conditions, recent surgeries, or those who have taken pain relief medication shortly before the study will not qualify. The trial is currently not recruiting participants, but once it starts, those who join can expect to undergo assessments related to their pelvic floor muscle activity during their menstrual periods.
