ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how two hormones, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), work together to improve energy function in cumulus cells, which are important for egg development in women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). Previous research has suggested that using both hormones may help increase pregnancy rates in women aged 35 to 40, but how they affect the cells involved in this process is not fully understood. In this study, 60 women in this age group will be divided into two groups: one will receive the combination of FSH and LH, while the other will receive FSH alone. The researchers will analyze various factors, including the women’s medical history and cellular energy levels, to see how effective each treatment is.

To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be women aged 35 to 40 with a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 30 who are planning to undergo IVF. Some women may not qualify if they have certain medical conditions, such as primary ovarian insufficiency or a history of certain surgeries. If you join the study, you can expect to receive either the combined hormone treatment or FSH alone, and the researchers will monitor how your cells respond to the therapy. This trial is actively recruiting participants, so if you meet the criteria and are interested, it could be a valuable opportunity to contribute to important research in fertility treatments.
