ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two conditions that can affect newborns: congenital pneumonia and transient tachypnea of the newborn (TTN). Accurate diagnosis between these two conditions is important because it helps doctors provide the right treatment quickly, which can prevent complications and reduce unnecessary use of antibiotics. The trial will look at specific blood markers called the Systemic Immune-Inflammation Index (SII) and the Systemic Immune-Response Index (SIRI) to see if they can help doctors better distinguish between TTN and congenital pneumonia when traditional methods aren't enough.
To be eligible for this study, newborns must be at least 37 weeks old and admitted to the hospital within the first day of life with breathing difficulties and a potential diagnosis of TTN. Participants will be monitored by healthcare professionals, and their blood may be tested for the markers being studied. This research aims to improve the way doctors diagnose these conditions, which could lead to better care for newborns and shorter hospital stays. Your participation could help advance medical knowledge and improve future treatments for newborns facing these challenges.
