ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is designed to compare two treatments for hypertrophic scars, which are thick, raised scars that can develop after a burn injury. The researchers want to find out whether pulsed high intensity laser therapy or extracorporeal shockwave therapy is more effective in improving these scars. Participants in the study will receive one of these treatments for six weeks, and their scars will be assessed before and after the treatment to see how well each therapy works.

To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between the ages of 20 and 45 and have hypertrophic scars from burn injuries. They must not have any other serious health issues, such as diabetes or heart problems, and should not have open wounds near the treatment area. The study is open to both men and women. If you are interested in learning more about this trial or think you might qualify, it's a great opportunity to contribute to important research while potentially benefiting from new treatment options.
