ClinConnect Summary
The Delivery Room Intervention and Evaluation Network (DRIVE) is a clinical trial aimed at improving the care of newborns who need help right after birth. This study is being conducted in various hospitals across the United States and focuses on gathering important information about how different hospitals provide resuscitation, which means giving immediate medical assistance to newborns who are having trouble breathing or need other types of support. By collecting and analyzing data from a diverse group of infants, the DRIVE Network hopes to identify the best practices for delivery room care and improve outcomes for babies in need of resuscitation.
To be eligible for this trial, newborns must have received significant medical help at birth, such as special breathing support or CPR. The study is open to all infants, regardless of gender or background. Families who participate can expect their baby's information to be collected and used to help improve care for future newborns. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance to contribute to important research that could lead to better practices in hospitals nationwide.
