ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the levels of pain patients experience after having lateral neck dissection surgery for thyroid cancer. It compares three different surgical methods: robotic surgery, endoscopic (small incision) surgery, and traditional open surgery. The goal is to see how much pain patients feel right after surgery and again one and three months later. Understanding pain levels can help determine which surgical method is the most beneficial and least painful.
To participate in this trial, patients need to have been diagnosed with differentiated thyroid cancer and have metastatic lateral lymph nodes, which means that the cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes in the neck. However, patients who have distant metastasis, a history of neck surgery or radiation, or specific vocal cord issues won't be able to join. Participants can expect to be monitored for their pain levels at different points after their surgery, which could help improve future surgical approaches for others.
