ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at factors that might affect the quality of vision after a specific eye surgery called SMILE (Small-incision Lenticule Extraction). This surgery is designed to correct vision problems, particularly nearsightedness. Researchers want to understand how certain conditions or characteristics might influence the clarity of vision after the procedure, especially when some of the eye tissue is left in place.
If you're an adult aged 18 or older, have stable nearsightedness that hasn't changed for at least two years, and meet other health criteria, you might be eligible to participate in this study. Participants will need to sign a consent form and attend follow-up appointments as part of the study. It's important to know that certain eye conditions and health issues, like diabetes or severe mental disorders, may exclude someone from joining. If you choose to participate, you will be contributing to research that could help improve the outcomes of this type of eye surgery for future patients.
