ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how ultrasound can help predict the outcomes of childbirth during labor. Specifically, researchers are looking at a technique called transabdominal ultrasound, which involves using a special device on the belly to measure an angle that may indicate how likely a woman is to have a successful vaginal delivery. They hope that by understanding certain ultrasound parameters during labor, doctors can better manage the delivery process and potentially increase the chances of a natural birth.
To participate in this trial, women must be at least 18 years old and have a single pregnancy that is full-term, meaning between 37 and 42 weeks. They should also be in the later stages of labor, with the cervix fully open. However, women with certain conditions, like problems with the placenta or previous uterine surgeries, cannot join. Participants will undergo ultrasound examinations during labor, and the information gathered may help improve childbirth experiences for future mothers.
