ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Motor-voice Assessment in Infants," is studying how voice and motor skills in infants can indicate their risk for physical disabilities, such as Cerebral Palsy (CP). Researchers want to understand the differences in voice patterns between infants who are at risk for motor delays and those who are developing normally. By looking at these voice factors, they hope to find ways to identify potential challenges early on.
The trial is open to infants who were born between 24 and 41 weeks of gestation and who spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). To participate, infants need to be medically stable by 40 weeks and have at least one parent fluent in English. If you choose to participate, you will be asked to upload short videos of your baby at different ages (around term, 3.5 months, and 9 months). Additionally, when your baby is 3.5 months old, there is an option to attend an in-person assessment. This study is still recruiting participants and aims to provide valuable insights into early motor and voice development.
