ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of two treatments—kinesio taping and low-level laser therapy—on women who have developed lymphedema after breast surgery. Lymphedema is a condition where excess fluid builds up in the body, often causing swelling in the arms. The researchers want to see how these treatments can help improve arm measurements, hand strength, and overall quality of life for patients who have had this condition for at least three months.
To participate in this study, women aged 40 to 55 with lymphedema in one arm may be eligible, especially if there is a noticeable difference in arm size or volume. However, there are some exclusions, such as having other health conditions that cause swelling or being pregnant. If you qualify and choose to take part, you can expect to receive one of the two treatments and participate in assessments that will help measure the effects on your lymphedema. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable information on effective treatments for those living with lymphedema after breast cancer surgery.
