ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of an occupational therapy program designed for adults who have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV) and are currently staying in a domestic violence shelter. The goal is to see how this therapy can help improve their well-being and daily activities. If you’re an adult aged 18 or older receiving support from a domestic violence organization, you may be eligible to participate in this study.
Participants will take part in the study for about six weeks, beginning with some questionnaires to assess their health and daily life. They will then attend eight occupational therapy sessions over four weeks, where they will engage in activities like journaling, practicing positive self-talk, and learning coping skills. After completing the program, participants will fill out follow-up questionnaires to see how they have progressed. This study aims to provide valuable insights into how occupational therapy can support individuals recovering from the effects of domestic violence.
