ClinConnect Summary
The PEDESTAL EFS study is looking at different types of blood products made from donations. Specifically, it will compare the effects of traditional blood products prepared by the Etablissement Français du Sang (EFS) with a new type called LTO-WB, made by the Centre de Transfusion Sanguine des Armées (CTSA). Researchers want to understand how these blood products affect inflammation and other biological factors in the body.
To join this study, you need to be a healthy blood donor aged between 18 and 70 years old (or 65 for those donating plasma or platelets). You should weigh at least 50 kg. If you meet these requirements and are interested, you can expect to participate in a safe environment where your contributions will help improve blood donation processes. Please note that the study has not started recruiting participants yet, so keep an eye out for updates if you're interested!
