ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how using artificial intelligence (AI), specifically a tool called a Large Language Model, can help third-year physical therapy students improve their clinical reasoning skills. Clinical reasoning is important because it helps students learn how to gather and understand patient information to make accurate diagnoses and treatment decisions. In this study, 200 students from different universities will be divided into two groups. One group will use the AI tool to engage with simulated patient cases for eight weeks, while the other group will continue with traditional learning methods without AI support.
To be eligible for the study, students need to be in their third year of the Physiotherapy program, be between 18 and 30 years old, and willing to participate after understanding what the study involves. Participants can expect to either work with the AI tool or follow the usual curriculum, and their skills will be assessed through written evaluations and practical exams. This trial aims to see if AI can enhance the training of future physical therapists, making them better prepared for real-world clinical situations.
