ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how mental health issues, like thoughts of suicide, anxiety, and depression, affect overall well-being in people with Hereditary Angioedema (HAE), a genetic condition that causes severe swelling. Researchers will use a questionnaire to gather information on these mental health concerns and also check for markers related to heart health. By studying these factors together, the goal is to find out if there are connections between mental health and heart health for those living with HAE. This knowledge could help improve treatment and care strategies for patients.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be over 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of Hereditary Angioedema. However, people with certain conditions, such as intellectual disabilities or specific skin diseases, will not be eligible. The trial is currently not recruiting participants yet, but when it starts, those who join can expect to fill out questionnaires that will help researchers better understand the relationship between mental health and heart health in HAE patients. This study emphasizes the importance of mental well-being in managing HAE effectively.
