ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether hyperbaric oxygen therapy can help treat flap ischaemic necrosis, a condition that can occur after breast cancer surgery. This condition happens when the blood supply to a part of the skin used in surgery (called a flap) is reduced, leading to potential tissue damage. The researchers want to see if providing extra oxygen in a special pressurized chamber can improve healing in these cases.
To participate in this study, women aged 18 to 60 who have had breast cancer surgery and have a specific type of flap issue may be eligible. Participants will need to understand the study and agree to take part by signing a consent form. However, certain health conditions, such as severe lung diseases or eye problems, may prevent someone from joining the trial. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but if you or someone you know might be interested, it could be a way to explore new treatment options for healing after surgery.
