ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on creating a new educational tool that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help nursing students learn how to make quick and effective decisions in emergency situations. The goal is to improve their critical thinking skills and teach them how to assess patients in a triage setting, which is when healthcare providers prioritize patient care based on the severity of their conditions. The study will look at how well different teaching methods—like learning from a teacher or using the tool independently—help students retain these important skills and stay motivated in their learning.

To be eligible to participate, you need to be at least 18 years old, currently enrolled in a specific nursing course at Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and comfortable using electronic devices for online surveys and the educational tool. Participants will play with the AI-based tool in various learning formats, answer questionnaires, and take part in interviews to share their experiences. This trial is still in the planning stages and is not yet recruiting participants. It aims to gather insights on how nursing students feel about using AI in their education, which could shape future nursing training.
