ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the types of eye diseases seen in patients visiting the Eye Investigation Unit at Sohag University Hospital. The main goals are to find out if more women than men are affected by blindness due to eye diseases and to determine how common conditions like glaucoma—an eye disease that can lead to permanent vision loss—are among patients. The study will take place from January to December 2025, and researchers hope to gather important information that can help educate the community about eye health.
To participate in this trial, you need to be a patient referred to the Eye Investigation Unit from various sources, such as the hospital’s outpatient clinic, private clinics, or health insurance. Unfortunately, individuals who cannot have their vision or eye pressure tested, those with certain mental disabilities, or patients without a diagnosed eye condition will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to have your eye health assessed, which will help contribute to understanding and improving eye disease management in the community.
