ClinConnect Summary
This study is exploring a new way to help women who have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer manage their emotional well-being. It focuses on a type of therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which aims to help patients cope with feelings like anxiety, depression, and fear of their cancer coming back. Participants will have a single online session with a nurse to learn about the ACT techniques, and then they will fill out a daily survey for a week to track their feelings and experiences.
To be eligible for this trial, women need to be between 19 and 75 years old and have been diagnosed with stage 2 or 3 ovarian cancer. They should have completed their first round of chemotherapy within the last two years. Unfortunately, those with serious mental health issues or a history of cancer recurrence won't be able to participate. This study is still in the planning stages and has not started recruiting participants yet, but it offers a promising approach to improving quality of life for women facing this challenging diagnosis.
