ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a program called (Neuro)Cognitive Remediation (CR) designed to help adults, especially military veterans, police officers, and retirees, who are struggling with cognitive challenges related to conditions like PTSD. Cognitive skills are important for daily life, as they involve how we think, remember, and respond to information. The goal of this program is to improve these skills, which can lead to a better overall quality of life. Participants will work with a clinician to learn new strategies and practice cognitive skills, which they can then use in their everyday activities.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be clients at the Nova Scotia Operational Stress Injury Clinic and experiencing cognitive difficulties that might improve with the CR program. Importantly, they should not be receiving CR treatment from another Occupational Therapist at the same time. Although the trial is not yet recruiting participants, those involved can expect to engage in activities aimed at enhancing their cognitive abilities and potentially feel that the program has a positive impact on their daily lives.
