ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how common a specific type of pain, called Central Post-Stroke Pain (CPSP), is among patients who have had a stroke and are attending follow-up appointments in the Île-de-France region. CPSP can cause discomfort that feels like burning, tightness, or pressure, and it can make daily activities harder, disrupt sleep, and even lead to feelings of anxiety or depression. The researchers want to systematically check for different types of pain in these patients to better understand how many are affected by CPSP compared to other types of pain.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be at least 18 years old, fluent in French, and attending a follow-up consultation about 3 to 6 months after their stroke, which has been confirmed through brain imaging. However, those with severe cognitive or communication difficulties won't be included in the study. Participants can expect to answer questionnaires about their pain experiences, which will help doctors learn more about CPSP and how to improve care for stroke survivors. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it represents an important step in recognizing and addressing pain after a stroke.
