ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how two different techniques—Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Virtual Reality (VR)—can help first-time pregnant women who are feeling anxious or scared about childbirth. Many expectant mothers experience fear about labor, which can affect their mental health and make it harder for them to bond with their baby after birth. The trial aims to see if using these techniques can reduce fear and improve both emotional well-being and the mother-baby relationship.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be first-time pregnant women between 32 and 38 weeks of pregnancy, carrying a single healthy baby, and without any psychiatric or serious medical issues. Throughout the trial, participants will learn how to use EFT, which involves tapping on certain points on the body to help manage stress and emotions, and VR, which allows them to experience realistic scenarios in a safe environment to help ease their fears. This research hopes to provide valuable insights that can improve prenatal care and support for new mothers.
