ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a special care program, called a Nursing Care Bundle, can help improve eating and drinking in critically ill children who have trouble swallowing after being on a breathing machine (this condition is known as post-extubation dysphagia). The goal is to see if this program can make it easier for these children to take in food and fluids safely after they have been taken off the machine.
To participate in this study, children must be between 2 and 6 years old and have needed a breathing tube for at least 48 hours. They should be able to communicate and have no severe hearing or vision problems. However, children with certain conditions, like muscle diseases or previous swallowing issues, will not be included. If a child joins the study, they can expect to receive extra care and support focused on helping them eat and drink better after their treatment. The trial is currently looking for participants.
