ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to see if a fun and interactive exercise program, which combines video game-like activities with the Otago Exercise Program, can help improve mobility in older adults who live in the community. Specifically, the study focuses on adults aged 65 and older who have some difficulty with movement. Researchers want to find out if this combined approach not only helps with physical mobility but also boosts muscle strength and emotional well-being.
To participate, individuals must be 65 or older and take longer than 12 seconds to stand up and sit down five times. They should also be able to stand with support for at least 30 seconds. If eligible, participants will take part in exercise sessions twice a week for 12 weeks, while another group will continue their usual activities. Throughout the trial, health checks will be done at the start, after 12 weeks, and again three months later. This study is not yet recruiting participants, so those interested should keep an eye out for updates!
