ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different ways to manage pain after abdominal hysterectomy surgery, which is a common procedure for women. The goal is to see which pain relief method works better to help patients recover more comfortably and effectively after their surgery. One method being tested is patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), where patients can manage their own pain relief, while the other approach involves using a combination of local anesthesia and non-opioid pain medications.
To participate in this trial, women between the ages of 18 and 65 who are generally healthy (classified as ASA 1 and ASA 2) may be eligible. However, certain health conditions, such as severe liver or kidney issues, a history of gastrointestinal problems, or significant respiratory diseases, may prevent someone from joining. Participants can expect to receive either of the pain management techniques and will be monitored closely to see how well each method works. Ultimately, this study aims to improve pain management and recovery for women undergoing this surgery.
