ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the impact of structured education on individuals who have a permanent ostomy, which is an artificial opening created in the abdomen for waste removal. Many people with ostomies, such as ileostomies or colostomies, face challenges that can affect their quality of life, including changes in body image, self-esteem, and social interactions. The goal of this study is to provide face-to-face education to help these individuals better cope with their conditions, ultimately improving their body image, sexual satisfaction, and overall quality of life.
To participate in this trial, you must be over 18 years old and have a permanent ostomy. You should not have any cognitive or mental health issues and should not have received previous structured training on living with a stoma. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but if you join, you can expect to receive valuable information and support that may help you adapt to life with an ostomy and improve your well-being.
