ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on helping patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), a condition that affects the esophagus and can cause difficulty swallowing and other symptoms. The researchers want to learn how patients prefer to receive educational materials about their treatment options and how they make decisions regarding their care. They believe that using a specific decision support tool will help patients feel more informed and ready to choose the right treatment for them.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old, a new patient with EoE, and able to read and speak English. You will be recruited from the University of Michigan’s gastroenterology or allergy and immunology clinics. If you join, you can expect to use a web-based tool that provides information on treatment choices and helps you understand your options better. The researchers hope that this tool will not only be easy to use but also increase your knowledge about EoE and improve your confidence in managing your treatment.
