ClinConnect Summary
The "PaRole OncO France" study is exploring a peer support program designed to help cancer patients. This program connects patients who are currently facing cancer with those who have previously battled the disease and are now in remission. These patient advisors share their experiences and offer emotional and practical support, which can make a big difference in how patients feel and cope during their treatment journey. The goal is to understand how this support affects patients’ emotional well-being and overall care experience.
To participate in the study, you must be a French-speaking patient who has been newly diagnosed or has recurrent cancer, such as breast, lung, or skin cancer. You can also be a patient advisor if you are a French-speaking cancer survivor who is no longer in treatment and has no signs of the disease. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, those who join can expect to engage in discussions and activities that promote understanding and support among patients. This innovative approach aims to improve the overall experience of cancer care by addressing both medical and emotional needs.
