ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to help patients with blood cancers, like multiple myeloma and lymphoma, during a tough treatment called stem cell transplantation. This treatment can be very stressful and may cause side effects such as pain, nausea, and anxiety. Researchers want to see if a program that combines hypnosis and virtual reality can improve the quality of life for patients while they undergo this procedure. They will assess how effective this program is by asking patients about their feelings of anxiety, pain, fatigue, and overall quality of life before and after the treatment.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be 18 years or older, speak French, and be diagnosed with multiple myeloma or lymphoma that requires a transplant. However, those who are deaf, blind, or have certain mental health issues that affect communication won’t be able to participate. The trial is not yet recruiting, but once it starts, participants can expect to be involved in a program designed to support them emotionally and physically during a challenging time.
