ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how different types of exercise can affect cognitive function, balance, and overall physical abilities in people with Type 2 diabetes. Specifically, the researchers want to compare the effects of dual-task exercises—which involve doing two things at once, like walking while solving a puzzle—against single-task exercises, which focus only on physical activity. The goal is to see if combining mental challenges with physical exercise can provide additional benefits for individuals managing diabetes.
To participate in this study, you should be between the ages of 40 and 65, diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and able to walk independently. Participants will be divided into three groups: one group will do dual-task exercises, another will do single-task exercises, while a control group will only be encouraged to walk. Each participant will attend exercise sessions with a physiotherapist twice a week for eight weeks. The researchers will evaluate everyone’s progress at the beginning and end of the study. Remember, this study is not yet recruiting participants, so stay tuned for updates if you're interested!
