ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how women feel about getting contraceptive care provided by community pharmacists using a special tool called the PRISM platform. Traditionally, women need to see a doctor to get hormonal birth control, but now in many places, pharmacists can prescribe these medications directly at the pharmacy. This study will look at women’s experiences over 12 weeks after receiving contraceptive services from pharmacists in five different pharmacies across the United States. Researchers want to find out how well the care is provided, whether women continue using the birth control, any side effects they might have, and how satisfied they are with the services.
To participate in this trial, women must be at least 18 years old and seeking hormonal contraceptives. However, if someone is pregnant, unable to become pregnant, doesn’t speak English, or can’t consent to participate, they won’t be eligible. Participants can expect to receive care from trained pharmacists and share their experiences, helping to improve contraceptive services in pharmacies for the future.
