ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring two different treatments for men with a condition called Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), which causes urinary problems. The trial is comparing the Rezum method, which uses water vapor to shrink prostate tissue, with the UroLift technique that involves lifting the prostate to relieve pressure on the urethra. The aim is to see if Rezum is just as effective as UroLift for improving symptoms.

To participate in this trial, you need to be a man aged 50 or older who has significant urinary symptoms related to BPH. Specifically, you should have a score of 13 or higher on a common symptom questionnaire and have a prostate size between 30 and 80 milliliters. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either treatment. If you have certain health issues, such as a history of prostate cancer or specific urinary problems, you may not be eligible for the trial. If you choose to participate, you can expect to receive one of the two treatments and provide feedback on your urinary symptoms over time.
